REAL in 10 | 實話十說之 #REAL# 和 #金秀賢#













1.   Real is not a straightforward and entertaining movie. I was in a total confusion state during the 1st hour and 40 minutes. Not to mention I don’t understand the language, even if I do, it might still be beyond my comprehension for first viewing. It requires killing of brain cells to digest, at least for me. For movie goers who spent bucks and came out feeling baffled will not like Real.  

     Real 不是娛樂性電影，不是看一次就能看懂的電影。在前1小時40分鍾，我完全是處于混淆狀態。別說我聽不懂，就算聽得懂也未必看一遍就懂。Real 是需要消耗一些腦細胞來消化的電影，至少對我來說是如此。那麽， 對花了錢進電影院看了出來莫名其妙，不曉得它在做些什麽的影迷來說，會認爲這部電影不好看。

2.    I was astonished by KSH’s amazing acting skill in 2 scenes. (1) Jang Tae-yeong was in the washroom confronting the other Jang Tae-yeong (2) Jang Tae-yeong driving his car into the tunnel with a mixture of emotions.

     有兩場戲給我留下很深刻的印象。（1）張泰英和另一個他在洗手間裏的對峙。（2）張泰英駕車駛入隧道的“啼笑皆非”-----  秀賢的演技簡直是出神入化。

3.    Since I watched the raw version without subtitles, I can fully concentrate in observing every move, every expression and every gaze of the actor at the same time trying to figure out the conversations and paying careful attention in his portrayal of the 2 major characters (there is one 3rd minor one). Doing dual roles is not an easy task. It involves vast imagination and consistent reactions (of course the Director and Film Editor do play a part in this). KSH did a very good job.

     因爲沒有翻譯，不用分心看字幕，所以更能將注意力放在秀賢的動靜、表情和眼神，再猜測對白說些什麽，好好留意兩個性格的诠釋 ，這既是挑戰又很享受！一人分飾兩個落差不是很大的性格是非常具有難度的，而且想象力要特別豐富，反應要連貫（當然也有導演和剪輯師的功勞）。秀賢真的做的很好。

4.    I can hardly visualise what kind of character in his next work would bring his acting skill to the next level.  In Real, his acting talent has ascended to a higher realm. It’s the most ultimate in his impressive acting so far.

     我很難想像，下一個會是一個怎樣的角色才能讓秀賢的演技更上一層樓。因爲在 Real 裏，他的演技已經進入了另一個境界，天賦流向另一個領域，目前爲此最驚豔的表現。

5.    Real is barely a movie which only stimulates visual excitation. Violence, bloodshed and sex scene are all just right for the purpose. It’s neither obscene nor too brutal. I've seen worse than this in a Korean film directed by Yoo Ha.

     Real不是一部單單刺激視覺感官的電影。暴力、血腥場面和情欲戲分都拿捏的剛剛好，不多也不少。看了不會反胃也不會覺得很殘暴，曾看過柳河導的韓影比Real 更“限制級”呢。

6.    If you pose me a question: does the sex scene ruin his public image? I will ask: which image? Is it Do Min-joon? Anyone of the role image is but a character he portrayed, it’s not KSH himself. There is no change in him. So, there is no damage done on his image. As an artiste, he has the obligation to act out well an accepted role required of him. Otherwise, that would really ruin my Impression of his professional acting.

     若問我情欲的戲分有沒有破壞秀賢在我心目中的形象, 我倒想反問：哪一個形象？ 都敏俊嗎？不管是哪一個形象，也只是他演過的角色罷了 ，並不是他本人。秀賢還是秀賢沒有變，所以並沒有什麽形象破壞。再說吧，既然接了這部電影就有責任大大方方的演好這個人物。要不然，才真的是破壞他在我心目中專業的形象。

7.   The masked JangTae-yeong has limited visual facial impression to the audience. It relies on his speaking tone, body language and his gaze through his face-piece in order to lock your attention. This is something unprecedented and KSH has made it.

     帶上面具的張泰英幾乎看不到臉部表情，靠的只有說話語氣，身體語言和透過面具看到的那一雙眼神，來鎖住觀衆的視線。這對秀賢來說是未曾有過的考驗，他演得很成功。

8.    If Jang Tae-yeong is played by another artiste, will it have a better result? I believe that “Behind an able man there are always other able men” and the result will be a different one.

     如果張泰英是由另一位藝人主演，效果會更好嗎？我相信一山還有一山高，出來會是不一樣的效果。

9.    Words are pleasing to the ears when the listeners find them agreeable whereas harsh words are annoying but true. I have no comments on the plot because I don’t understand the language. But, to find fault with something near to faultless, there are 2 shortcomings in this movie as far as I can observe. (1) It would be more ideal if Jang Tae-yeong could have a look of a man who has been through vicissitudes of life. (2) It would be more fascinating if there are more scenes of JangTae-yeong playing with Sung Dong-il.

     人總愛聽和自己想法一致的話，但醜話還是要說。若真要雞蛋裏挑骨頭，撇開劇情不說（因爲聽不懂），這部電影有兩處遺憾。（1）金秀賢飾演的張泰英臉上若能多一些滄桑會更理想（2）張泰英和成東镒的對手戲分能再多一些會更精彩。

10. I’m very contented to have seen another breakthrough in KSH’s acting so much so that the content of the plot is unimportant to me now.


     看到秀賢突破性的演技已經很滿足，看不看得懂電影的內容對我來說已經不再重要了。
